Gifting
Photography and Videography as Gifts
Photographs and motion pictures are not just things - they are instant time capsules preserved on paper and ink. They can take you back to that day, to that very moment, to that smell, to someone's voice. Images invoke a myriad of emotions and allow us to meet our ancestors.
In this era of disposables, not many things keep their meaning let alone age to become of higher value. Photographs and motion pictures become more valuable after the passing of time. They do not depreciate nor are there any upkeep costs. When our children have grown or our loved ones have passed, their photographs become a personal journey to memory lane, more treasured as the years go by.
Gifting photography and videography is one of the most thoughtful and lasting gifts you can give.
If you are getting married, you can choose to have photography and videography added in your wedding registry. Guests may gift you your wedding photography and videography. You will get exactly what you want and your guests will not have to stress over looking for an appropriate wedding gift. They can gift you collectively or gift you your desired wedding package entirely. Best of all, their gift is timeless and only grows more precious each day.
- How do gift cards work?
-
You can choose to gift your loved ones a package in full or have a set value put into a gift card. There is no minimum, maximum, or specific amount - you choose the amount. At purchasing, you will be asked for an email address to whom the gift card is going. The person you are gifting to will then receive an email address notifying them of a gift card with the value on it. From there, the recipient can contact us to book a shoot and claim that amount against the total of the package they have selected.
- How much are gift cards?
-
It is up to you how much you would like to charge a gift card's amount. You can choose to charge a gift card for $50, $500, or $5,000. There is no minimum, maximum, or specific amount. You are in control.
- What if 10 people each gifted us $500 in gift cards?
-
How lovely to receive such a thoughtful and lasting gift! That would mean you would have $5,000 in total credit (minus the 2.9% activation fee) to claim against whichever photography investment we offer.
- We received $1,000 in gift cards but the package we want to book costs more. What do we do?
-
You are very lucky to have been gifted a timeless gift that matters to you. In this case, you would put down the value of your gift card(s) against the value of the investment you want. The remaining balance is the amount you would need to pay yourselves.
- Is there a fee to buying gift cards?
-
There is no fee to buy or gift someone a gift card. However, there is a 2.9% one-time activation fee from the value of the charged gift card. For example: You charge a gift card for $500 as a gift to your sister. You pay $500 but when your sister claims her gift card, there will be a 2.9% deduction of the value of the gift card giving her $495.5 to spend on photography investments.
- Is there a way to avoid the activation fee?
-
Yes. Cash! Please contact me for more info.
- Is there an expiry date to gift cards?
-
There is a 1 (one) year expiry date from the date of purchase. You must have booked and availed of the gift card(s) by the expiry date. Please do not wait until the last day prior to expiry date to book a shoot as we may not be able to give you a booking if we are fully booked or during busy season. Book your shoot as early as possible.
- Are gift cards transferable?
-
Yes. You may gift your gift card to someone else, as long as you take note of the expiry date. Note that we are unable to fulfill a gift card once it has expired.
- Are gift cards refundable?
-
Unused gift cards are refundable for 30 days after purchase and will incur a 2.9% activation fee of gift card value. The amount will be returned to the card used at purchase. Cash purchases will be refunded in cash without incurring the 2.9% activation fee.
